Spanish 21 Game Rules
Spanish 21 is a casino game similar to blackjack. It is an attractive casino game to play as the house edge is relatively small compared to other casino games. The cards are valued the same as blackjack and also the same table is used but with a modified layout. So if you are familiar with blackjack but fancy something different Spanish 21 is a good choice as you will already know many of the rules.
- Spanish 21 uses seven 48 card decks. All 10’s removed from deck.
- Same card rankings as blackjack.
- Dealer draws on 16 but sticks on 17.
- A 21 score (blackjack) is the best possible hand and wins regardless of dealers hand. Payout on Blackjack is 3to2.
- Insurance is available in Spanish 21 and pays 2to1.
- Game play is the same as blackjack in regards to Hit, stick or split.
- In Spanish 21 you can always double down regardless of score or how many cards in your hand
- Up to 4 hands can be split
- Most casino rules allow surrendering unless dealer is dealt blackjack. This is giving up on your hand before the hand has fully played out. Half your bet will be returned.
- A 5 carded 21 total pays out 3to2, a 6 card 21 pays 2to1 and 21 with seven or more cards pays out 3to1.
- If you have a 21 score that is made up of three 7’s or a 6/7/8, payout is 3to2. If all the cards are matching suits then pay out is 2to1.
- Mega bonus - This is triggered by a 21 score containing three 7’s of matching suits. The pay out can differ depending on the casino rules but is in the region of 50to1.
